History

Circle K was the brainchild of Jay Emerson, a member of the Pullman, Washington, Kiwanis. He originally wanted to buy a "Circle K House" and rent it to students attending Washington State College. Soon afterward, the house became a Greek letter organization and a local fraternity.

In 1947, Kiwanis International aided in the first transition of Circle K from a fraternity to a service organization. The first service orientedCircle K was founded at Carthage College in Illinois in 1947. In 1953, the first Circle K President was elected, Ken Creasey of OhioWesleyan University. Two years later Circle K went International.

The University of Cincinnati Circle K club was chartered in September of 1972. Since then, our club has contributed thousands of hours of service to the community. We've received Outstanding Student Group, from the campus, and many awards from Circle K International.

We hold our meetings every Thursday at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
