FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

The fundraising committee is responsible for financing the EWB-UCIN projects from assessment through implementation.  The funds enable the chapter to procure building materials, make traveling arrangements, provide temporary living accommodations for traveling members, purchase vaccinations for traveling members, and pay for other miscellaneous chapter resources.
To raise these funds, the Fundraising Committee is partnering with the Logistics Committee, Engineering Committee, Health Committee, and Culture Committee to develop a marketing portfolio.  Local businesses are either hand delivered a portfolio during onsite presentations or mailed a portfolio to introduce the chapter, its mission, and its goals to the company.  This portfolio provides the business with an opportunity to invest in the current project and chapter through charitable, tax deductible donations.  (Engineers Without Borders – USA ™ is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.)

Although donations from local businesses are the main source of funding, multiple methods exist for raising money including: fundraising dinners, campus events, grants, etc.

The Fundraising Committee offers growth and experience in the following areas:

  • Project specific budgeting
  • Developing marketing portfolios
  • Charitable donations
  • Giving presentations

Individuals who would like to join the Fundraising Committee should contact EWB-UCIN to get plugged in.
