Sunday, Nov 23, 2008: Group Trip to watch "Grand Canyon Adventure"
As a thank you for supporting the Grand Canyon Adventure in our Water Conservation event, the Omnimax Theatre has given us some free tickets to go see the film. Please RSVP if you would like to go. Tickets are availabe on a first come first serve basis. We will be going as a group to view the film on Sunday, 23rd Nov at 6:00 pm IN PLACE OF OUR GENERAL MEETING. Contact Brigitte Cronier or one of the LEAP officers for more information.
Discounted tickets for the movie (valid till Feb '09) are also available.

Come join LEAP to learn about the
Global Water Crisis! Co-sponsored by the Cincinnati Museum Center, this event will focus on water conservation.
We will also be promoting the new Omnimax presentation
“Grand Canyon Adventure”.

02:00 PM - Live national webcast: Climate Realities, Challenges and Progess in Higher Education, MainStreet Cinema
Join students, student groups, faculty, staff and administration to celebrate Campus Sustainability Day VI next Wednesday, October 22 from 12-3:30pm in the TUC Atrium and MainStreet Cinema!
A student groups showcase will begin at 12pm in the TUC Atrium featuring student groups and initiatives from Students for Ecological Design (SED), Leaders for Environmental Awareness and Protection (LEAP), Environmental Law Society, Urban Justice League, Student Government, and more.
Following the student groups showcase, at 1pm a speakers forum will feature the kick-off of the Housing Conservation Challenge and recognition of Siddall Hall and their pilot recycling program; a representative of the Civic Garden Center and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful; Dan Oerther, Director for the Center for Sustainable Urban Engineering; Mary Beth McGrew, University Architect.
At 1:30pm Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune will address the atrium and discuss Cincinnati, Hamilton County and University efforts on environmental and sustainability issues.
After the student groups showcase and speakers forum, at 2-3:30pm in the MainStreet Cinema there will be a live national webcast from the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP): Climate Realities, Challenges and Progess in Higher Education, MainStreet Cinema .
