At the beginning of every school year an open invitation is extended to all volleyball lovers to come out and show their stuff at an open tryout in an attempt to become part of the competitive volleyball tradition at UC. The purpose of the Mens Club Volleyball Team on the campus of the University of Cincinnati is to give students an opportunity to become involved and enrich their college experience through the sport of volleyball. Students become student/athletes as they balance their responsibilities of school with a rigorous schedule of practice, travel and competition at a variety of universities across the Midwest. The Bearcat tradition continues to grow as the team looks to improve upon it's national runner-up finish from a year ago. The UC Club Volleyball Team plays competitively on the college club level as a member of the Great Midwest Men's Volleyball Conference (GMMVC), a division of the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA). The club is open to all students at the University of Cincinnati, undergraduate and graduate. This years roster consists of 20 undergraduates and 2 graduate students from a variety of high schools across the midwest. As a team, this years Bearcats can boast a number of distinguishing accomplishments such as two players from state championship teams and several players nominated to all state teams.
