6/1/2005.....Well, it is not the best finish ever for the Cats, but they
took home some hardware. After a rough start to Nationals in
Kansas City, the Bearcats pulled out a 5-4 record at the tournament.
The volleyball team end the year with a 26-18 record and conference
runner-up. Their ending national ranking is 33.

| At the Flyer Classic, the Cats collected a 2-1 record in pool play, defeating Dayton "B" and Miami before falling to Findlay A in the last pool match. After soundly beating Findlay "B" in the first round of the tournament, the Bearcats were matched up against the host team Dayton Flyers. After a convincing game one win, the Cats were dismantled in game two as blocking and offense fell apart, and the Flyers took the deciding game 15-12. UC ended the day 3-2. Dayton was defeated in the finals by NCAA varsity Findlay "A" |

| The Bearcat Men's Volleyball team got the new season under way last weekend in East Lansing, MI. The Cats looked a little rusty but managed to win the silver bracket at the 2004 Back to the Hardwood Classic at Michigan State University. After a streaky 2-2 Saturday, the Cats stepped up on Sunday, going 4-0 against Michigan, UConn, Pittsburgh, and Columbia. The Bearcats will next be in action at the Flyer Invitational at the University of Dayton Saturday, November 13. |
