2009-10 UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT SCHEDULE

The UCSO presents three concerts to the university community throughout the academic year. Each one is usually presented at the end of each ten-week quarter (Fall, Winter, and Spring).

  • ABOUT THE SOLOIST
    Lauren Avery has performed as soloist, concertmaster, and chamber musician in concerts and recitals around the country and abroad. In the Cincinnati area, Ms. Avery regularly performs with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Richmond Symphony, and the Kentucky Symphony. Ms. Avery received her Bachelor's degree from Vassar College, and Master's degree in violin performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

  • The various small ensembles that form within the UCSO organization such as the UCSO Brass also have various other performing opportunities, such as at charity events and certain official university events.
