Professor T. R. Subramanyam is one of the most brilliant and well known senior artrists in the field of Carnatic Music. He has introduced many new innovations in this field, especially in the singing of Kritis, Kalpanaswaras and Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi. He has evolved a new unique style of his own, which has influenced many fellow musicians. He is also a renowned research scholar and is famous as one of the best teachers of Carnatic Music. He has served as a Professor of Music at Delhi University for over thirty years. He has traveled around the world and given numerous concerts, lecture demonstrations and workshops in Carnatic Music.
