Philanthropy
Advancing philanthropic interests is a part of Theta Phi Alpha's mission and such interest is promoted throughout the collegiate experience and beyond, during the alumnal years.
Theta Phi has two national philanthropies that we support, the Glenmary Home Missioners and The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built.
Glenmary Home Missioners
Glenmary's work in depressed rural areas of the United States, primarily in
the Appalachian states, leads them to distribute food, clothing and books to
needy persons, assist in providing medical care, job training and tutoring,
and provide a spiritual home to those who desire it.
The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built
The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built was established in 1993. The common goal
through The House is to improve the plight of the homeless in any way.
Our local philanthropy is the Bethany House. Our main fundraising activitiy for the Bethany House is our annual Theta Phi Bowl.
Bethany House
Bethany House Services collaborates with others to provide a full range of
housing, education, and assistance programs to homeless and disadvantaged women
and children in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Theta Phi ladies also are actively involved in other community service activities such as Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon and Habitat for Humanity.
