Arun and Madhu steadied the innings with some beatiful shots from Arun, who was unfortunately run-out in the 17th over. The score was 82/3.
The rest of the team battled to reach a respectable target. Ram stepped up, and with some steady batting and good innings helped UCCC post a respectable target.
UCCC was all-out for 153 in 30 overs.
UCCC went in to field with 153 on board. The spirits and the enthusiasm was high, which was reciprocated by the opening bowlers. VijayW and Chandan bowled beautifully, with Chandan getting quick wickets. LCC was down to 42/3 in 9 overs.
Ram and Kaustubh took over and bowled well. At this point, some key catches were dropped and the batsmen started getting used to the pace. So, Madhu was called into the attack to get some much needed break-throughs and he did in the third ball of the over. Vijay took over the other end and with some "doosras" was able to get another wicket quickly.
VijayW and Chandan were called back and with some good bowling, were able to stop the run-flow. But, the LCC batsmen kept slogging, especially with the ground size being very small. LCC wrapped up the game in 24 overs with 7 wicket loss.
