GSGA is hosting a GRAD CUP(Soccer & Cricket) tournaments on Sunday, April 6. Please complete your registration form and email it by Wednesday, April 2 to For soccer, we invite teams of 5-7(5players on the field and 2 substitutes). For cricket, teams of 8-11(8players on the field and 3 substitutes). You can register as an individual player and will be assigned a team. Register NOW!

Writing Effective Proposals

Dr. Margaret Hanson, Associate Dean of the Graduate School

In this workshop, students will come to know what makes up a good proposal idea, and strategies on how one gets good ideas. They will be trained on the structure of a concise, well-organized and convincing proposal. The utility of eliciting significant early feedback on one's ideas will also be reviewed. Finally, the benefit of allowing for a final polish of the presentation, grammar and tone will be covered. GradCafe Free coffee & snacks @ GSGA office(683 Steger Student Life Center). Mondays, 9am-4pm - Everyday during final exam week, 9am-4pm.

Dissertation/Thesis Writing Group

This group meets three times a week. No registration is required and you can however many times you like a week. Here is a link to the schedule: This group provides a structured writing environment for graduate students who are currently working on their dissertation or thesis. GSGA will provide some snacks and beverages, but please feel free to bring your own lunch.
