MISSION STATEMENT The Program of Health Promotion and Education at the University of Cincinnati has as its mission the generation and dissemination of knowledge related to the enhancement, protection and maintenance of health and well being in both individuals and communities at local, state, national and international levels. This is accomplished through the preparation of professionals for a variety of health promotion delivery sites. Graduates of this program will have the capacity to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to produce a positive impact on the health behaviors of diverse populations through numerous business and industrial settings, schools and educational agencies, social service agencies, and community health agencies and settings. In furthering the mission of the program there is a strong faculty commitment to scholarly research and publication, teaching, leadership in learned and professional societies, and service to the community at large. In conducting these activities, Health Promotion and Education faculty support and contribute to the various missions of the Division of Human Services, the College of Education and the University of Cincinnati .
