Emergency Headlines

The E-news system offers a service for emergency notifications (e.g., closing of the university due to inclement weather) in the form of a single headline on UC's main page and also on UC's mobile Web site (http://uc2go.mobi).

Use the "Enter a News Release" instructions, being sure to select "News" for the Information Type.

For the duration of the release "run time" - the time between the "Release Date" and the "Expiration Date" - this is the only headline that will appear under the "News" heading/section on http://www.uc.edu and on the "News" page from http://uc2go.mobi. No other releases will display until the emergency headline disappears.

In case of a crisis (e.g., dangerous situation on campus), a temporary "emergency" UC main page will be activated. University Relations will determine the content for this page in consultation with Public Safety.
