SLP Style

SLP images are chosen and prepared by University Relations. You may submit photos for consideration. If you are a regular E-News contributor, you may also prepare your own images.

Submitting SLP Images. Image: Send high-resolution images to Photo Services. We’ll crop to 362x196 and place in a PhotoShop template. Image must be horizontal format. Caption: Provide suggested caption and Web page link. A maximum of 255 characters is allowed for the caption. Style for SLP Images

If you are creating your own SLP image, follow these guidelines: Use the 362x196 PhotoShop template (available from Photo Services). Image needs to be 72 dpi. Change the width to 362 or larger. Then copy image into the template and slide it down or up (or sideways if you’ve made it larger than 362) to fit. Use the "Save for Web" option to determine the best level to save the jpg (in general, use 80 for pictures with a lot of detail and/or different shades of color; 60 if more simple). Don’t overwrite the template!
