BA, Psychology with a Music minor, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Hello! I am the honors advisor for humanities, social science, and exploratory students in the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences; I also advise students in the College of Nursing and the College of Allied Health Sciences and am the interim advisor for Biomedical Engineering students within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Additonally, I coordinate the UHP Annual Welcome Retreat and co-advise the Univeristy Honors Association. Stop by and let’s talk sometime, about your courses, about study abroad, or about life in general (or in specifics).
I grew up in Maryland then went to UNC for college. While at Carolina, I was in marching band, highly involved with a student-run political magazine, and a leader in an organization helping international students. When I graduated in 2009, I went into a doctorate program in school psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After one year, I realized that this program was not a good fit for me and left it. I worked in research for one year then went back to school to earn my Masters in student affairs from the University of Virginia.
Your time at UC is what you make it to be. Take advantage of the opportunities, academic, social, and personal, that you will not have available to you this readily again.
