Hello! I am the honors advisor for humanities, social science, and exploratory students in the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences; I also advise students in the College of Nursing and the College of Allied Health Sciences. Additonally, I coordinate the UHP Annual Welcome Retreat and co-advise the Univeristy Honors Association. Outside of honors, I am on the Student Leadership Conference Planning Committee, the Off-Campus & Commuter Student Committee, the New Advisor Manual Committee, and serve as advisor to the newly formed Super Smash Bros. Club. Stop by and let’s talk: about your courses, about study abroad, or about life in general (or in specifics).
I grew up in Maryland then went to UNC for college. While at Carolina, I was in marching band, highly involved with a student-run political magazine, and a leader in an organization helping international students. When I graduated in 2009, I went into a doctorate program in school psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After one year, I realized that this program was not a good fit for me and left it. I worked in research for one year then went back to school to earn my Masters in student affairs from the University of Virginia.

Advice for Students
Your time at UC is what you make it to be. Take advantage of the opportunities, academic, social, and personal, that you will not have available to you this readily again.
