University Honors Program

FAQs - UHP Admissions

Do I have to apply to be in the University Honors Program?

First time freshman students who are entering the University in fall quarter do not need to submit a separate application to the University Honors Program. All incoming freshman students who have been admitted to a baccalaureate college will be considered for admission to the University Honors Program. Qualified students will be invited to join the University Honors Program.

Current UC students who would like to transition into the University Honors Program must complete an application. This application is available in the winter each year.

Students transferring to UC from another college or university must complete an application. This application is available in the winter each year.

If I'm not accepted as an incoming freshman student, can I apply to University Honors after I begin at UC?

Yes. You can apply to transition into the University Honors Program. The application process is competitive.
