Requests for Hall or Room Swap/Hall or Room Change Period is now available from 4/14 through 5/9.

Each quarter, we offer an opportunity for residents to swap rooms or change rooms/halls in an effort to increase their satisfaction with their living environment.  Room/Hall changes are only available if there is space available.

At this time, we are unable to allow students that are not upperclass students to change rooms.  Room swaps will be allowed for students who do not meet this criteria.

To qualify for a hall/room change into Turner, Schneider, or Campus Recreation Center you must:

1)     Be an upperclass or transfer student.
2)     Meet the requirements to live on the floor in the hall you request (For example, you must be a Honors student to live on an Honors floor).
3)     Have a zero balance on your student account to move to a higher cost bed space.
4)     Pay the prorated amount of the cost difference between your current assignment and your new assignment for the rate increase before the move can take place. Payment must be made in advance to the Housing & Food Services Office located on the 4th floor of Dabney Hall.  

Swaps:

1)      Students in all halls are eligible to swap rooms.
2)     Meet the requirements to live on the floor in the hall you request (For example, you must be a Honors student to live on an Honors floor).
3)     Have a zero balance on your student account to move to a higher cost bed space.
4)     Pay the prorated amount of the cost difference between your current assignment and your new assignment for the rate increase before the move can take place. Payment must be made in advance to the Housing & Food Services Office located on the 4th floor of Dabney Hall.  
5)     Students cannot swap into open spaces or overflow rooms.
