Requests for Room Swap Period is now available from 10/19 through 11/06.
Each quarter, we offer an opportunity for residents to swap roommates or change rooms/halls in an effort to increase their satisfaction with their living environment. Room/Hall changes are only available if there is space available.
At this time, based on availability, we are able to offer Room Swap to all residents.
To qualify for a room swap:
- Students in all halls are eligible to swap rooms.
- Find another resident who is interested in swapping rooms with you.
- Complete the Online Room Swap Form.
- Meet the requirements to live on the floor in the hall you are swapping into (For example, you must be a Honors student to live on an Honors floor).
- Have a zero balance on your student account to move to a higher cost bed space.
- Pay the prorated amount of the cost difference between your current assignment and your new assignment for the rate increase before the move can take place. Payment must be made in advance to the Housing & Food Services Office located on the 2nd floor of Scioto Hall.
Residents cannot swap into vacant spaces or overflow rooms.
