Off Campus Housing List/Map

The Off-Campus Housing List and map contain information about apartment buildings in three neighborhoods immediately adjacent to the Uptown campus – Clifton Gaslight, Clifton/Fairview/University Heights, and Corryville. The data was gathered in order to provide information for newly-admitted graduate students.

The information on the linked listing is therefore quantitative and not qualitative, and focuses on apartment buildings that contain 20 units or more. The list may contain some buildings with fewer than 20 units because, at the time of the survey, these buildings were owned and/or managed by the same owners of some of the 20+ unit buildings.

The information in these lists is not a complete inventory of all apartment buildings in these neighborhoods, and – because information can change quickly without prior notice to the university – may not be entirely accurate at the time of use. The information is not a recommendation or an endorsement of any apartment building, does not reflect the condition of any building, and does not describe methods or history of building management or operations. These lists are provided as a courtesy and as one source of information for those seeking housing. The user is strongly encouraged, when considering their apartment choices, to confirm all information with the apartment building manager and to also consider other sources of information about the apartments.

The Student Government of the University of Cincinnati has partnered with a company to provide housing listings of nearby available properties.  As with any other postings on our website, these listings are provided as one source of information for those who are seeking housing and should not be considered an endorsement. Confirmation of the information provided with the property manager is strongly encouraged.

Here are some suggested steps to take if you are leaving the Cincinnati area over the break period:

  • Return unneeded materials to the library — Renew items you will need after your return.
  • Contact the postal service to temporarily hold or forward your mail — Visit the USPS website to access a variety of services.
  • Clean out the refrigerator — Get rid of items that will spoil or expire in your absence.
  • Refill prescription medications—Take your health insurance information with you in case of an emergency.
  • Deter theft from your residence — Lock windows and doors, including balcony and porch doors. Remove valuables such as money and electronics. Ask a trusted neighbor to keep an eye on your apartment when you are gone
  • Arrange for plant care — Have someone water and feed your plants or consider getting an automatic feeder.
  • Ensure that your vehicle is running smoothly if you will be using it to travel — Check the fluids, wipers, windshield wipers, tire pressure, belts, and hoses.
  • Refrain from packing your vehicle the night before your departure — Cars with items in plain view are easy targets for potential thefts.
  • In winter, set the heat at a low setting — Lower, but do not turn off, the heat to prevent frozen pipes.
