POST DOC FELLOWS
| The Choice Benefits program is a partnership between UC and its employees. We do everything we can to provide you with high-quality benefits at a reasonable cost to you and the university.
Post Doctoral Fellows who have an appointment of at least one year and an FTE of 80-100%, may enroll in Choice Benefits, the benefit program offered by the University of Cincinnati. Included in this package are medical and dental insurance for yourself and your eligible dependents, and tuition remission. |

MEDICAL INSURANCE
Medical coverage pays benefits for eligible medical expenses. The Choice Benefits program offers you two excellent medical plans--the health maintenance organization (HMO) and the point-of-service (POS). The POS is only available to Post Doc Fellows who are not located in the Greater Cincinnati service area. These plan options give you the flexibility to tailor a benefits package that meets your individual or your family’s needs. Information regarding the HMO and POS plans is available in the Enrollment Workbook. The Medical Coverage Comparison section in the workbook summarizes the benefits available under each medical plan. For more detailed information about your medical plan review the HMO Plan Document or the POS Plan Document.

DENTAL INSURANCE
Dental coverage helps you and your covered family members pay for eligible dental expenses. The Choice Benefits program offers you the Basic Dental Plan. The Dental Coverage Chart in the Enrollment Workbook provides a summary of the dental plan. For more detailed information on benefits available under the dental plan you should review the Dental Plan Document.

TUITION REMISSION
The Tuition Remission Program enables you to benefit from the many educational opportunities offered by the University. If you take advantage of this program, you will not pay tuition for university coursework; however you will pay any extra fees, such as late fees or room and board. (Read more)
