IMPORTANT REMINDER!  IS YOUR CHILD A FULL TIME STUDENT?

COBRA is federal legislation that gives employees and their families an opportunity to continue health coverage due to a qualified event resulting in loss of coverage.  If your over age 19 dependent ceases to be a full time student, it is YOUR responsibility to notify the Human Resources Department within 60 days of the date your child ceased being a full time student in order to be eligible to elect COBRA.   Failure to provide this notice will result in the loss of the right to elect COBRA.  Ask your child to confirm his or her full time student status each term.
