AFSCME, IUOE, & SEIU Labor Management Committees
| This Web site has been created to advise employees and supervisors of the joint committees dedicated to enhancing labor/management relationships at the University of Cincinnati.
Labor Management Committees (LMC) are established by the collective bargaining agreements. Their purpose is to discuss and resolve matters of mutual interest. Specific grievances and negotiations are not a proper subject for discussion in LMC meetings; the resolution of problems giving rise to grievances is a proper subject. Specific matters which are considered by the LMCs include, but are not limited to: health & safety, career paths, training & development, and dependent care issues. The LMCs shall have no authority to modify in any way the terms of the collective bargaining agreements. |

* The SEIU Health & Safety Committee meets as needed, upon the request of either party. This committee meets to consider health & safety problems and their solutions, and to make recommendations to the SEIU LMC. **The responsibilities of the Joint Classification Appeals Committee (JCAC) are outlined in Article 14, Section 4 of the SEIU collective bargaining agreement.
It is our hope that this Web site will encourage contact with the members of your LMCs so that your issues may be considered in a proactive forum.
