Welcome to the UC 2009 United Way and Community Shares Campaign. We need your help!
As our 2009 United Way and Community Shares Campaign nears the end, we are asking for your support. We face a significant gap versus our campaign goal, even as the needs in our community continue to increase (for example, 40% of people seeking food pantry assistance are doing so for the first time).
This is a time we hope everyone in our community will step up to help. United Way and Community Shares touches virtually everyone in our community. These organizations are there for people who have been hit hard by the economic crisis and rising unemployment with Tools for Tough Times; for young children with programs like Every Child Succeeds; for seniors with services like the Hyde Park Center for Older Adults; and the Drop Inn Center for any person in need. Partners include the YMCA, YWCA, Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, Out of the Crossfire and UCAN. These are organizations that many of us have been involved with at one time or another. Out of the Crossfire was developed from the vision of University of Cincinnati Surgeons who work in the Division of Trauma and Critical Care.
If you haven't pledged, please know that every contribution is important. We hope you will give what you can.
