IMPORTANT NOTICE: Ohio Homeland Security / Declaration of Material Assistance (DMA)

Ohio Homeland Security was established within The Ohio Department of Public Safety September 2003 to strengthen Ohio’s commitment to addressing the new threats and challenges of terrorism in wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The Homeland Security Division oversees the licensing and regulation of private investigators and security guards and is dedicated to protecting Ohioans from potential acts of terrorism.

The Declaration of Material Assistance (DMA) is a questionnaire that must be completed by applicants to certify that they have not provided "material assistance" to a terrorist organization. The DMA form applies to all final candidates under consideration for public employment.

All DMA forms and reference information can be found on the Ohio Homeland Security Division website.
