Integrated Core Learning Leadership
Integrated Core Learning flows from the University's Academic Plan, UC|21: Achieve Academic Excellence. As our signature approach to undergraduate education, ICL underscores the University of Cincinnati's strength as a leading urban research institution and places the undergraduate student within a holistic framework for learning from the first year through graduation.
As part of the academic planning process, the University reviewed the relationship between its mission and values and its General Education program. This discussion resulted in a new vision for undergraduate education that we call Integrated Core Learning. A committee made up of faculty and administrators across campus was established for coordination and leadership of the important ICL initiatives.
