| Local Agency Honors Dorsey

Dorsey will receive the 4C Recognition Award for lifetime achievement at the organization's Champions for Children Celebration on May 1. "Anne has and continues to be a major force in early childhood education both locally and nationally," says Sue Wilke, 4C Board of Trustees vice president. Dorsey helped shape the First Code of Ethics for the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC) and served on the national AEYC ethics panel. She is an advocate for strong licensing and accreditation procedures. Dorsey has served on the boards of several early childhood organizations, as˙president of the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE) and editor of the Journal of Early Childhood Teacher Education. NAECTE selected her for its Outstanding Early Childhood educator award in 1999. |
