UC's Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center has
provided a Head Start program since 1965. Children in the
federally funded program are included in classes with children in
the tuition preschool program. Now three colleges within UC are
teaming with a nonprofit company and a satellite broadcasting
service to help 30,000 Head Start teachers across the nation meet
new educational requirements. Among the children enrolled at
Arlitt this quarter are Manasi Bhatia, left, and Drew O'Sullivan,
who joined forces on a puzzle.
