Students Making News
UC's 1999 graduating class in graphic design -- UC's graphic design program has been rated the best in the country in surveys of professionals -- was the focus of an extensive, six-page feature in the December 1999 issue of How magazine, a design periodical. The students were featured because during their senior year, they function as a design firm completing a major project for a real client. In this case, the clients were the students' professional peers, the prestigious Society for Environmental Graphic Design. The UC students created the design materials for the SEGD's annual conference.
Heather Renee French, a graduate student in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning and the current Miss America, was featured in People magazine.
