the headaches some people get headaches after eating ice
cream.

George Bishop, political science, was quoted about public
views towards President Bill Clinton. The story also used data
from UC's Institute for Policy Research which has tracked President Clinton's approval rating
throughout his terms.
Chicago Daily Herald
Randy Seeley, psychiatry, was quoted in a story about the
lengths people will go to lose weight.
Newsday
Karen Machleit, marketing, was quoted in an article about the
value of corporate naming rights.
Atlanta Journal and Constitution
Eric Rademacher, Institute for Policy Research, was quoted in
an article looking at John McCain's presidential campaign. The story was
also picked up by the Cox News Service and The Dayton Daily News.
Minneapolis Star-Tribune
Daniel Nebert and Michael Carvan, both of environmental health, were quoted in a story about their program to develop transgenic zebrafish as a detection system for certain water
pollutants. The article also appeared in the Augusta (Ga.)
Chronicle.
Alumni making news:
Former CCM opera student Tara Lynn has gone country and is
the opening act for the current Statler Brothers tour.
Danny Barrett, a three-year starting quarterback at UC and
Bearcat co-captain in 1982, has been named as the head coach of the
Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. After leaving UC,
Barrett played 13 seasons in the CFL.
