| Law Class of 2000 Graduates Saturday
Date: May 19, 2000 By: Carey Hoffman Phone: (513) 556-1825 Archive: Campus News, General News The UC College of Law will hold its 167th annual hooding ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20 in the Shoemaker Center. Approximately 110 graduates are expected to make up the college's Class of 2000. Dean Joseph Tomain will preside over the ceremony. The speaker for graduation (selected by the students) will be U.S. Representative Rob Portman. Attorney William Martin of Washington D.C. will receive the Nicholas Longworth Award. The award is presented by the graduating class to an alumnus they admire. College of Law professors Graeme Dinwoodie, Wendy Parker and Michael Van Alstine will award the hoods, a traditional symbol of academic achievement. The ceremonies is free and open to the public. |
