Honors Seniors
From: University Currents Date: May 24, 2000 Archive: Campus News The UC Army and Air Force ROTC Military Ball was held May 20 in the Great Hall of Tangeman University Center and was attended by up to 300 people. Cadets wore formal military dress for the event. Brigadier General William E. Albertson, assistant director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, was guest speaker. The following senior cadets were honored by the Army ROTC: Cadet John Arnold received the Order of St. Barbara Award and the Mentorship Award; Cadet Greg Henz was the gold recipient of the Military Order of World Wars Award, Cadet Jessica Apgar was the silver recipient; Cadet Jessica LeValley was presented with the Daughters of the American Colonists Award; Cadet Anna Klark was honored with the Reserve Officer's Association Award and the Sergeant York Award; Cadet Chris Hamman was recognized with the Commander's Silver Award and the George C. Marshall Award; Cadet Brad Gogats was the recipient of the Commander's Gold Award for Army ROTC; Cadet Crystal Lloyd was the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Award. The following senior cadets were honored by the Air Force ROTC: Cadet Vincent Deno, an electrical engineering major, received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award and the Reserve Officers Association Award; Cadet Joanna Hill, a sociology major, was recognized with the Paul T. Johns Outstanding Arnold Air Society Member Award and the Reserve Officers' Association - Ladies Auxiliary Award; Cadet Jason Wyen was the recipient of the Michelle LaMendola Memorial Scholarship, the Reserve Officer's Association Award and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Award. |
