  • Kamal Gunsagar, who earned his master's degree in electrical engineering from UC, has been named as CEO of Lara Networks. Lara Networks is the industry leader in high performance Network Application Processors for the Internet infrastructure market.

  • Eugene Cilento, who earned both his master's and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from UC, has been named interim dean for the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University. Cilento is a professor of chemical engineering and former head of the department.

  • UC graduate Philip Shaw has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, marketing, worldwide, for Disney Consumer Products. Shaw had been general manager of Nike's equipment division.

  • Former UC golfer Kim Kincer is the women's golf coach at Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C. She coached her team to the NCAA Division III national championship this spring.
