Sosa in Major League Baseball doesn't seem to be garnering as
much attention this year as it did last year.
"The Today Show" on NBC
Stanley Troup of the College of Medicine was interviewed for
a story about DNA centers offering diagnostic testing to the
general public for issues such as determining paternity.

The paper reported on the appointment of Howard Jackson of
physics to the position of vice president and dean for research
and advanced studies.

The service picked up a Cincinnati Post article on the
struggles of the middle class to keep up economically in the
current economy. Doug Haskell and Lori Derenski from the Center
for Economic Education were both quoted in the story. The story
also appeared in the Memphis Commercial Appeal and the Houston
Chronicle. In a separate article, the service quoted Zane Smith
of history in an article about the impact of air conditioners on
our society and how that compares with efforts people made to
stay cool in earlier decades.
That story also appeared in the Chattanooga Times.
