  • Where can I buy a home to qualify for the Walk-to-Work Loan program?
    The neighborhoods include Corryville, Clifton, Fairview, Clifton and University Heights, Mt. Auburn, Avondale, and Walnut Hills.
  • Is there an income eligibility requirement?
    There is no specific requirement, but typically, the nonprofit agencies assist individuals earning $35,000 a year or less and families earning $50,000 a year or less. The program is specifically targeted to first-time homebuyers.
  • What kind of home can I buy?
    There is no absolute limit on home prices or home styles. It is up to employees to find the home that meets their needs. However, if an employee has a good credit history and his or her family's gross income is about $50,000, the employee could qualify for a $90,000 to $100,000 home.
  • Can I buy a home near UC, then rent it to students?
    Individuals and families receiving assistance must live in the home they buy for at least 3 years. However, if the building is a two-family home, they can rent the second unit.
