Archive: Campus News UC's new Women's Leadership Program has selected the first interns to serve under a new initiative aimed at increasing the number of women in upper academic and administrative positions.

The interns were selected from a group of 24 women chosen to take part in a series of leadership workshops which began this quarter. In addition to the eight interns, they are:

Dorothy Air, College of Medicine; Peg Allensworth, McMicken College of Arts and Sciences; Terri Byczkowski, Institute for Policy Research; Kimberly Downing, Institute for Policy Research; Paula Dubeck, Arts and Sciences; Meridy Glenn, Athletics; Kathryn Gutzwiller, Arts and Sciences; Lisa Hogeland, Arts and Sciences; Velta Kelly-Foster, College of Evening and Continuing Education; Laura Kretschmer, College of Allied Health; Marlene Miner, Raymond Walters College; Joanna Mitro, Arts and Sciences; Vicki Morris, Radiation Safety; Elaine Mueninghoff, Clermont College; Pallavi Patel, UC Bookstore-west; Rhonda Robinson, University Health Service and Linda Taylor, Education.

Oversight for the program is provided by members of the Commission on the Status of UC Women, the Association of Women Faculty, and the Association of Women Administrators. Funding was provided by the Office of the President, both provosts, the vice president for student affairs and human resources, and the vice president for finance.
