UC believes that a strong awareness of Information Security issues is essential to all students faculty and staff. The InfoSec team is constant researching trends and issues and adding relevant information to this web page
Another area of effort is the development of training. UC InfoSec periodically offers training courses in various areas and will publicize them to the target community as they are scheduled.
Avoid ID Theft
- This presentation discusses how to deter identity thieves, how to detect if your identity has been stolen and what to do to defend yourself if you become a victim. It is based on the material available from the Federal Trade Commission.

Annual Security Training for IT Administrators and those with Privileged Access.
- This training is given in compliance with University policy and best practice. It reviews the roles of InfoSec vs. those of the system or technology owner, provides examples of appropriate and inappropriate behavior and provides a copy of the Privileged Access Agreement. The PAA must be reviewed and sign by every person with Admin or Privileged access to a UC system.

Education
This site contains a great deal of information and links that can be used to educate yourself on the subject of information security. There are also a number of security articles in the UCit archive.
Another excellent source is any of these reputable sources of formal education.
There are also a large number of formal certifications and education opportunities offered by the industry. These courses have fees attached.
