Top 10 Student Security Mistakes

Have you ever done any of these things:

1. Sharing passwords or writing them down (on a post-it or in a palm pilot)
2. Opening e-mail attachments from unknown people.
3. Propagating virus hoaxes and chain mail.
4. Not installing anti-virus software and keeping its virus signatures current.
5. Not keeping current on software patches, especially security related ones.
6. Installing unnecessary programs and services.
7. Bringing up lab (test) machines and forgetting about them.
