The UCIT Office of Information Security (OIS) has always taken a proactive approach in safeguarding data. OIS offers each college throughout campus a personal contact for all information security questions and situations to assist in preventing such disastrous data breaches. This person will be informed about ever-changing and often complicated information security legislation and subsequent protocol. The hope is that over time the contact will also get to understand the processes unique to the college or unit and be able to proactively advise the best measures to take to protect the business now and in the future.
