Students can purchase meal plans that allow them to eat at the three campus dining halls: MarketPointe, StadiumView, and CenterCourt. These plans give you a certain number of "swipes," or meals, per semester and are available on your UC ID card. You do not have to have a meal plan, but it may be easier for you if you choose to live on campus.
On Campus Food
Not only does UC have three dining halls, but it also has two small food markets, "to-go" options, and multiple coffee shops and fast food restaurants. The food markets do not carry many fresh ingredients, but you can find a quick bite to eat or a drink and snack before class. The fast food options are perfect if you want to stay on campus and eat between classes. There are also two Starbucks locations on our campus!
The many options available make it easy to find something to eat while you're studying.
Off Campus Dining
There are lots of different food options around UC's campus! Popular areas to find food include Short Vine (on Vine Street near the medical campus), Ludlow (at the bottom of the hill on Clifton Avenue), and USquare (the area in between McMillan and Calhoun Street). You can find restaurants that serve vegan meals, sushi, pizza, sandwiches, and more. Don't hesitate to try new things!
Grocery Stores & Markets
The area's favorite supermarket has three locations near campus. The Kroger on Corry Street is brand new and right next to campus!
- Whole Foods
The national organic and health food retailer has a location in Rookwood Commons, a shopping center approximately 10 minutes from campus by car.
- Clifton Natural Foods
North of campus on Ludlow Avenue, Clifton Natural Foods offers healthy and organic selections with a regional focus. Although the store is a bit on the pricey side, it's very convenient.
- Findlay Market
Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and one of Cincinnati's most cherished institutions, Findlay Market hosts over two dozen indoor merchants open year round, a thriving farmers market on Saturdays and Sundays from April to November, and dozens of outdoor vendors, street performers and special events.
Jagdeep's Indian Grocery
Jagdeep's offers many products, including rice, beans, and curries from India, and is located close to campus on Ludlow Avenue. The store is accessible by the University shuttle service.
Saigon Market (at Findlay Market)
The shelves of Saigon Market are filled with imported products from Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, and the Philippines. The store is located in Findlay Market, which is easy to get to by bus or car.
Jungle Jim's is one of the largest grocery stores in the United States, and it is known for stocking thousands of imported foods from over 70 countries. Both the Fairfield and Eastgate locations take about 30 minutes to get to by car.
