“Studying abroad is like living a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life!”

“Going overseas was a great experience both in and out of the classroom.  The real learning happened in casual conversation with local residents.  I learned so much more about the culture and history about area from talking and meeting people.”

Just like the rest of your life, your study abroad trip is going to have its ups and downs. You'll be soaking in cultural sights and improving your language skills one minute, but maybe feeling a little homesick the next. It's all a part of the adventure that is study abroad.

And that's why communication is key. If you have an emergency while abroad, tell the necessary people about it. If you need some tips on maximizing your experience, we'd love to share some with you. And if you've got some awesome photos you'd like the UC community to see, follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep in touch.

It's always good to have a download of our Guide to Study Abroad with you, too. The Guide is a one-stop resource for any questions you may have along the way.
