The University of Cincinnati will close at 2:30PM Wednesday 3/4/15 due to the inclement weather.  Classes are canceled, and all offices -- with the exception of those noted in the UC emergency closing policy (University Rule 30-16-01) -- will be closed.

Students at the Academic Health Center should follow their college’s inclement weather plan.

Admitting International Students

The application/admission process for international students is a cooperative effort involving admitting dependent/college, the Graduate School and UC International Services.

Departmental Instructions for Admitting International Students
This guide has been developed by UC International Services to help departmental personnel understand the policies and procedures to be followed when an international student applies to UC.

Using iBearcatsGlobal & eForms

All new international workers must be onboarded through UC International Services prior to beginning employment.  Many employment statuses will require submission of an employment petition with the Department of Homeland Security prior to the visitor beginning employment.  All requests for employment visas, J-1 Exchange Visitors or Permanent Residency petitions must be submitted using eForms through UC International Service’s iBearcatsGlobal database. The eForm Instructions for Departments and the Hiring International Workers manual will explain how to use iBearcatsGlobal and submit eForm requests. It is recommended that departments identify a staff person who will submit all eForm requests on their behalf. This will enable one person (or in larger departments perhaps two people) to become skilled in using the iBearcatsGlobal database.
