Grants & Scholarships

Each year UC International Programs offers grants & scholarships to support international travel of students participating on UC sanctioned and funded faculty-led programs and faculty members interested in designing new study abroad programs.  These grants & scholarships are excellent ways to fund travel in order to gain a firsthand perspective on the feasibility of a particular program idea, to scope out potential on-the-ground sites and partners and to deepen your exposure to the proposed program site prior to taking students there with you.

These grants & scholarships are to be used to develop new programs which will be integrated into departmental curricula in ways that promote academic and financial sustainability. Study abroad programs should be strategic, articulating with an established plan for internationalization within a college or department, and integrated into the department's offerings.  Faculty should develop programs in collaboration with their departmental colleagues, heads, and College/School academic leadership. Interested faculty should contact Anne Sheridan Fugard, Executive Director, UC International Programs.
