On the Same Page is a project of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County.  The University of Cincinnati is participating as a special partner in enhancing our sense of community through a shared reading event.  This year marks the 11th annual community-wide reading program in Cincinnati.

This year's book selection is The Submission by Amy Waldman.  The book explores how 9/11 has challenged our personal convictions and the public debate on what it means to be American.

A jury charged with choosing the design for a memorial to those who died in the World Trade Center attack selects an anonymous winning design, only to discover that its creator is an American Muslim.  Deeply conflicted, they can imagine what a firestorm of controversy their choice will cause.  The story is told through the eyes of characters on all sides of the controversy.
