Language Resource Center

International TV Viewing

A new feature of the Language Resource Center is the ability to view international broadcasts on 3 large plasma screen televisions. We subscribe to Dish Network satellite dish service. A list of the particular channels we subscribe to can be found here. Our policy currently is to tune in channels on request, unless something has been scheduled to play at the time. We can tune the 3 TV's independently. Therefore, three different channels can be displayed at a time. We require that those requesting use of the TV's bring a valid, current UC ID which they must surrender to us at the door. We supply wireless headphones in exchange for the ID as well. Capacity is 10 viewers per screen.

Also, there is a website that has collected FREE online viewing of streaming TV signals. A high speed connection and fast computer help in viewing the channels. The website is http://www.beelinetv.com/.
