The KGB in Germany - Romeos and Residents

For the first time former high-ranking spies and officers of the KGB, the former Soviet Secret Service, openly speak of the organisation’s aims and successes during the Cold War in divided Germany.

In Part 3 of this three part series, the documentary reveals how the KGB used classic espionage and so-called “Romeos“, as well as resident spies in Bonn. From the 70’s up to the fall of the Wall, the KGB also relied on the activities of the Stasi, the East Germany’s secret service. After the fall of the Wall, the KGB, as well as its Russian successor, continued to be active in united Germany.

DVD recorded from DWTV in original German plus second recording in dubbed English.
