Projects must focus on novel, enabling and potentially useful technologies
or other revenue generating programs/ideas
Awards made will be in the range of $10,000 – 25,000
Funds must be used to advance the business goals rather than research
goals, i.e., technology validation studies and other program start-up
costs associated with positioning the project for attracting outside
funding or making the project self-sustainable and profitable
Projects that have a financial or in-kind match to show commitment
to the project will be more favorably reviewed
Awards will be provided in the form of loans to be reimbursed over
an agreed upon period of time, starting at the point when the project
begins generating income
Money awarded must be used within a 6 month period from the time
the funding is made available or remaining funds will be forfeited
Recipients of Launch Pad funding will be required to submit a full
financial statement to document the use of the funds
