Early Intervention System (EIS)

LAC Outreach
Outreach Programs are the LAC's vehicle for informing the UC campus community about our existing programs, services and resources.  Click here for more information about this program.

LAC Peer Tutoring
The LAC has undergraduate and graduate students that provide tutoring services in most undergraduate courses.  We rely on faculty and staff at the university to provide content references for these students.

SMARTHINKING Online Tutoring
SMARTHINKING Online Tutoring is a program that was introduced to the University of Cincinnati fall 2006.  Our undergraduate students have embraced this new venture and we have seen much success in providing services outside of our normal operating hours.

Supplemental Instruction

Referring Your Students to LAC
Students come to the LAC for a variety of reasons.  There are specific reasons to refer students to the LAC:
1. The student has not been attending class on a regular basis.
2. You feel the student may have test anxiety.
3. The student is in danger of failing your course.
4. The student has trouble concentrating.
5. The student has high anxiety.
6. The student lacks the skills to study properly.
7. You feel the student could benefit from our programs and services.
8. The student is seemingly very stressed.
9. The student is repeating a course.
10. You feel the student needs to be referred but are not sure where.
