Students eligible to participate in the McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program must:

• Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America
• Be a first generation college student (neither parent holding a Bachelor's degree) and come from a low socioeconomic background (established by the US Department of Education) OR be a member of an ethnic group underrepresented in graduate studies (African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native)
• Have completed a minimum of 60 college credit hours
• Have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA

All majors are welcome, with emphasis in biological sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, math and engineering.
