Students eligible to participate in the McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America
- Be a first generation college student (neither parent holding a Bachelor's degree) and come from a low socioeconomic background (established by the US Department of Education) OR be a member of an ethnic group underrepresented in graduate studies (African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native)
- Have completed a minimum of 60 college credit hours
- Have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA
All majors are welcome, with emphasis in biological sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, math and engineering.
You may apply to the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program through the Undergraduate Research Online Application website. You are not required to complete the application in one sitting.
