Multidisciplinary Program Consortium
of University of Cincinnati and Xavier University
|

The MPC, a collaborative venture of the University of Cincinnati and Xavier University, seeks to improve the education and training of mental health professionals, contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life for mental health consumers and their families, and facilitate and conduct research to improve public mental health treatment services. The MPC fulfills these goals by:
- providing state-of-the-art multidisciplinary training to prepare future mental health professionals to work with individuals with serious mental disabilities and their families;
- supporting a variety of educational, service, research, and consultation programs within the public sector mental health system to improve the quality of life for and promote the recovery of mental health consumers.
Through these programs, which include faculty from different mental health disciplines and allied fields, the MPC works to positively influence the attitudes and behaviors of mental health educators, students, and professionals.
