Drop-In Hours Every Monday at Noon

Interested in learning more about Nationally Competitive Awards? Join us for our weekly drop-in session to learn about who we are, what we do, and how we can help you find opportunities that align with your goals. The awards we work on fund a number of things like research, graduate school, and English teaching abroad. Our weekly drop-in sessions are open to anyone, no appointment required.

Goldwater Info Sessions

The Goldwater Scholarship is for STEM students planning to pursue a research-focused PhD in the fields of science, mathematics, and engineering. Students are eligible to apply in their second and third years of undergraduate study (third and fourth years for those in five-year programs).

Truman Info Sessions

The Truman Award provides up to $30,000 in graduate school funding for students interested in a career that will make positive contributions to the public good, or careers in the public sector. The award is open to students of any field that plan to pursue careers in public service. Students are eligible to apply in their third year of undergraduate study (fourth year for those in five-year programs).

Fulbright Writing Workshops

Are you planning to apply for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program? The Fulbright Writing Workshops will help you prepare your most competitive application. In these free workshops, NCA staff will guide students through the entire Fulbright application process, from selecting a country and designing a project, to planning and preparing the application components. The workshops are split into Personal Statement and Grant Proposal sessions. 

Who should register? The workshop is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who intend to apply for a Fulbright ETA or Study/Research Grant in the 2017-18 school year. Students are strongly advised to attend both a Personal Statement and a Grant Proposal session.
