The MainStreet Stride is a campus tradition following the 2006 completion of MainStreet, a corridor through the heart of campus where people can live, learn, work, dine and play. Student organizations as well as students, faculty and staff representing offices across the university dressed up in their best red-and-black getups to parade their pride through campus. Lucy the Bearcat also joined the parade with an escort from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.
The entries were judged by 2009 Homecoming Queen Melissa Feltz; 2009 Homecoming King Sean Huff; UC Head Baseball Coach Brian Cleary; Public Safety Special Events Coordinator Cathy Krumpelbeck; and Associate Professor Susan Sipple, a recipient of the 2010 UC Mrs. A.B.
