Sky Magazine: UC Named Among World s Top Ten Inspiring Campuses

The high-flying travel, lifestyle and business magazine, Delta Sky, is just out with its list of the

world’s Top Ten most inspiring campuses

.

The magazine based its selection on campuses’ stunning physical settings, overall design or architecture, and the University of Cincinnati is among this list of most beautiful, inspirational campuses

thanks to its collection of masterful architecture by the globe’s best designers

.

Others making this international Top Ten list include the University of Virginia designed by Thomas Jefferson, Tsinghua University in Beijing which sits amid the former Qing dynasty gardens and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Of UC, Sky stated: “Here, architecture students can literally study among the best. In 1989, the school decided to revitalize the campus, asking top architects – including Frank Gehry and alumnus Michael Graves – to design its new buildings.”

This is not the first time UC’s architecture has been selected for international kudos. Prestigious outlets from The New York Times to the Los Angeles Times have written about UC’s design and architecture, and last year,

Forbes

magazine also named UC among the world’s most beautiful college campuses, along with schools like Oxford University in England as well as Princeton, Stanford, Yale and the University of Virginia.

From literature to AI: UC grad shares career path to success

Before Katie Trauth Taylor worked with international organizations like NASA, Boeing and Hershey, and before receiving accolades for her work in the generative AI space, she was in a much different industry – English and literature. Taylor earned her master's in English and Comparative Literature in UC’s College of Arts and Sciences. She completed her educational journey at Purdue University with a doctorate degree in rhetoric and composition. After working as a graduate assistant at Purdue and UC, she became a research professor at Miami University. It might seem from there that her career was set—perhaps a tenured professorship or a university administrative position. That might have been her path, but Taylor had her eyes set on different goals. So how did Taylor transition from literature and composition to tech entrepreneurship? She enjoys sharing that part of her story.
